Project Hazard and Risk analyses use multiple information sources from numerous disciplines. When engineering these projects, the Hazard and Risk mapping process typically uses several software applications.

Each requires specific knowledge, and data transfer between the applications introduces inefficiency and human error. From these applications, projects generate a range of documents that require integration with the existing end-user databases.

Some of these are used for: storing the project Hazard and Risk analysis data, SIS maintenance, and SIS test scheduling.

In this webinar, we will be examining these aspects and how an integrated approach could benefit the industry.

Paul Church

Paul’s career spans 35 years across Aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear, rail, and automotive systems as both a Technician and Engineer. For the last nine years, he has been contracting directly with Shell working on Safety-critical maintenance and Functional Safety. He currently supports Cenosco and Shell globally as a LOPA chair and SIS lifecycle activities related to IEC61511.

Pieter Poldevaart

Pieter Poldervaart

Pieter has more than ten years of experience as a Functional Safety Engineer working for Shell P&T before joining Cenosco in 2021. For most of this time, he worked as a LOPA chair and a SIF Lifecycle Consultant on projects and training programs in Shell and 3rd parties. Currently, Pieter is the IMS SIS/SIFpro domain expert and Tool trainer in Cenosco.

Although we all know that the technical (hardware) barriers of our pipelines are important, we often fall short in terms of their integrity management. How can we best prioritize our inspection and maintenance activities? What are the important degradation mechanisms and barriers? How do we create optimal Integrity Work Plans (IWP)/Maintenance Reference Plans (MRP) and Schedules?

And how do we document and close the gap with software like IMS PLSS (Pipeline Management Software)?

Speaker – Fred Hoeve

Fred has worked in Shell for 30 years. Half of the time in statistics, data analysis, and visualization for inspection-related problems. In 2019 he joined Cenosco and made considerable contributions to the development and roll-out of the IMS Pipeline and Subsea software tool. He has been involved in many implementations around the world.

The dynamics of civil structures differ from most other plant equipment – with degradation processes measured in decades rather than years. These long timeframes mean that inspections of civil structures are often neglected – and as a result, so is their integrity. This can pose a significant risk to your assets. Despite the long timelines, we believe a risk-based inspection approach can and should be applied to civil structures – and can even bring additional benefits.

In this webinar our experts Hans Huissoon and Luiz Curado shared:

  • Why RBI is so important for civil structures
  • How to calculate your asset’s criticality or base risk, with the help of our IMS PEI
  • The benefits RBI could bring to you

Meet our speakers

Hans Huissoon

Hans has a background in civil and materials engineering. He specializes in civil integrity management and thermal and acoustic industrial insulation. After working for a major oil & gas company for 42 years, he now owns Huissoon Consultancy.

Luiz Curado

Luiz is an engineer with a post-graduate degree in safety, as well as an MBA. With over 18 years of international experience in inspection and integrity, he is currently a Solution Engineer Manager and Trainer at Cenosco.

Excellence in asset integrity management requires seamless connection and communication between all kinds of software/systems/applications. That is why the IMS products have a flexible API that is compatible with many other important applications, such as SAP and Maximo.

In this webinar we looked at the integration capabilities of IMS, and specifically at the opportunities that you would not want to miss in 2022. We learnt how to

  • Improve productivity of inspection and maintenance teams (CMMS integration)
  • Optimize existing resources and simplify the process (Document Management System Integration, 3D, drawings, and Digital Twin)
  • Speed up analysis of a large amount of process data (PI Integration)

Often the value of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) is underestimated. When RCM is properly implemented it can achieve benefits in a vast number of areas. The benefits are cashable, e.g., creating a more cost-effective maintenance strategy, as well as non-cashable, e.g., reducing a company’s carbon footprint. With this webinar we will go back to the basics and discuss how to implement an effective RCM program and take full advantage of it.

In this digital age there is a lot of data available to crunch! But how do you know that you are crunching the right data and in the right way? Are you sure your results are accurate? Or are they just precise? Do you keep track of the big picture, the whole degradation management lifecycle, while doing the crunching? In other words, is your Pressure Equipment’s Inspection strategy really optimized?

A conversation between industry experts

Asset Performance Management (APM) or Asset Integrity Management (AIM)? Which software do you really need? What is the difference? In recent times, these two buzzwords have led to some confusion in the asset integrity management world. In this webinar, with the help of industry experts, we will shine a light on this matter.
